Hospitality credit card processing for hotels, stadiums and venues.
Hospitality credit card processing has to work at the front desk, in the stands and everywhere in between. Hotels place card holds at check-in, venues sell from carts and concourses, and events pop up in places with no cash register at all.
Where guests pay
| Front desk | Holds at check-in, final charge at checkout |
| Advance bookings | Gateway or phone |
| Concessions | Countertop or POS |
| Stands and grounds | Wireless terminals |
| Multi-venue | One reporting view |
Equipment depends on your property system and how guests move through your venue.
Where hospitality payments get messy
Hotels and venues take payments in more places, and in more ways, than almost any other business. Here is what goes wrong, and what we set up instead.
What you often find
- Card holds that don’t match the final bill
- Lines at the concession stand because terminals are slow
- No way to take cards at the far end of the venue
- Separate reports for every stand, venue and season
- A ticket queue when a terminal fails on game day
At PayZoom
- Front-desk processing set up for holds and final charges
- Fast tap and chip terminals at every counter
- Wireless terminals for stands, suites and special events
- Web reporting across stands and venues
- A real person answers when you call
How hotel and venue payments connect
Every property is different, but the payment setup always has three layers. We plan them together so nothing falls through the gaps on a busy night.
The desk and the box office
Check-in holds, advance bookings and ticket sales, handled in your property or ticketing system.
The floor
Concessions, merchandise and suites on fast countertop and wireless terminals.
The view
Web reporting that brings every stand, venue and event into one place.
The PayZoom Statement Review
- Send. Email us one recent processing statement.
- Read. We line-item every fee and separate what the card networks charge from what your processor keeps.
- Recommend. You get a plain-English answer. If you are already paying a fair price, we will tell you.
- Switch. If you move to PayZoom, we set up processing to fit your POS, gateway or cart.
Getting a wireless solution in place was almost imperative at our stadiums in both Columbia, South Carolina and Mobile, Alabama.

Questions merchants ask us
Straight answers. If yours is not here, call us and a real person will answer it.
How do hotel card holds work?
At check-in, the front desk places an authorization for the expected stay and incidentals. That holds funds on the guest’s card without charging it. At checkout, the final charge settles for the actual bill and the rest of the hold drops off. We make sure your setup handles holds and final charges cleanly so guests aren’t surprised.
Can we take cards anywhere in a stadium or venue?
Yes. Wireless terminals let staff take cards in the stands, at pop-up stands, in suites and on the grounds. The Mobile BayBears and Columbia Blowfish used wireless terminals at their stadiums, including for a silent auction at a special event. We help you choose equipment that fits your space and connection.
Can we see all of our venues in one report?
Yes. We set up web reporting so you can see each stand, venue or property and the whole operation from one login. That makes it easier to reconcile after an event and compare one season to the next. Web reporting was a deciding factor for the Mobile BayBears and Columbia Blowfish.
Do you work with hotel property systems?
PayZoom is platform-agnostic and doesn’t sell a proprietary POS, so we try to fit processing to the property management, ticketing or POS system you already use. Where a direct connection isn’t available, a standalone terminal or gateway can bridge the gap. Tell us what you run and we will tell you what fits.
What about bed and breakfasts and small inns?
Smaller properties need the same basics: a way to take deposits for bookings, a terminal at the desk and clear pricing. A virtual terminal or payment link handles deposits, and a countertop terminal covers checkout. Send us a recent statement and we will show you what you pay today.
Send us one statement. We’ll tell you exactly what you’re paying.
No cost and no pressure. If your current rate is fair, we’ll say so. We typically reply the same business day.
