When a tablet POS is the wrong fit, or the right one
A tablet POS sits between a simple terminal and a full station. Here is what goes wrong when the choice is rushed, and how we set up a P18 instead.
What you often find
- A full POS station bought for a counter that needs less
- A basic terminal where staff wanted sales and payments together
- Processing pricing that was never explained
- Surcharge or cash discount settings nobody tested
- No one to call when the counter gets busy and something stops
At PayZoom
- A tablet POS sized for counters, cafés and retail floors
- Sales and card payments on the same countertop device
- Interchange-Plus pricing, with our margin shown in writing
- Programs like surcharging set up to card-brand rules, if you want them
- A real person answers. Support is never outsourced
How the Dejavoo P18 works with PayZoom
The P18 is the device. The pricing and the people behind it decide whether it works for you.
Right device
A countertop tablet POS for counters, cafés and retail floors where customers pay in one spot.
Right pricing
Interchange-Plus processing with our margin on its own line, and that margin never increases, in writing.
Real support
We set the P18 up on your account and answer when you call. No call center, no ticket queue.
The PayZoom Statement Review
- Send. Email us one recent processing statement.
- Read. We line-item every fee and separate what the card networks charge from what your processor keeps.
- Recommend. You get a plain-English answer. If you are already paying a fair price, we will tell you.
- Switch. If you move to PayZoom, we set up processing to fit your POS, gateway or cart.
Not only did PayZoom lower our costs, they analyzed our internal processes and made recommendations to improve workflow and provided new equipment so we could capture electronic payments at all points in the hospital and at off-site locations.

Questions merchants ask us
Straight answers. If yours is not here, call us and a real person will answer it.
Who is the Dejavoo P18 a good fit for?
Cafés, quick counters and retail floors where customers pay at the counter and staff want sales and payments on one screen. If you need a cash drawer and a full checkout lane, PAYS POS may fit better. If you only need to take cards, a countertop terminal may be enough.
How is the P18 different from a countertop terminal?
A countertop terminal like the Valor V-100 focuses on taking the payment. The P18 is a tablet POS, so it is built for ringing up the sale as well. Which one fits depends on how your counter runs, and we’ll help you decide.
Can the P18 run surcharging or a cash discount program?
Tell us which program you want before setup and we’ll configure it to card-brand rules. Surcharges are capped at 3% and never apply to debit or prepaid cards. Some states restrict surcharging, so check current rules where you do business.
Does the P18 change my processing rate?
No. Your rate comes from your pricing. With Interchange-Plus you pay card-network costs at cost, plus our margin, as low as 0.05% + $0.22 per transaction, depending on your setup. Our margin sits on its own line and never increases, in writing. Send a recent statement and we’ll compare.
Who do I call if the P18 has a problem?
Call PayZoom at 866.242.4325. A real person answers, and our support is never outsourced. We set the device up on your account, so we can look at the whole picture instead of passing you along. We don’t charge early termination fees or non-compliance fees.
Send us one statement. We’ll tell you exactly what you’re paying.
No cost and no pressure. If your current rate is fair, we’ll say so. We typically reply the same business day.
