Pricing you can check against your statement.
Interchange-plus pricing passes the card networks’ costs through at cost and adds one visible margin. Flat-rate and tiered plans bundle those costs together. We recommend Interchange-Plus, and our margin never increases, in writing.

Three ways processors price, and what each hides
Every processor pays the same interchange to the card networks. What differs is how they package it and what they add on top. Here is how the common models compare.
What you often find
- Flat rate: one percentage on every card, so low-cost debit pays the same as premium rewards cards
- Tiered: the processor sorts cards into “qualified” and “non-qualified” buckets it defines
- Many payments land in the pricier buckets, with little explanation
- The processor’s markup is blended in and can’t be seen
- A rate that can rise later with only a statement notice
At PayZoom
- Interchange-Plus: each card’s real network cost, plus one margin
- No buckets. Each payment carries the interchange it actually earned
- Our margin on its own line, so you can check it every month
- Our margin never increases for Interchange-Plus merchants, in writing
- No early termination fees and no non-compliance fees
What makes up an Interchange-Plus price
Strip away the packaging and every card payment costs the same two things for every processor, plus whatever the processor keeps. Interchange-Plus shows all three.
The issuing bank’s share
Interchange, set by the card networks and paid to the bank that issued the card. It varies by card type and how it is taken.
The card brand’s share
Assessments and network fees from Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express, passed through unchanged.
What PayZoom keeps
One margin, as low as 0.05% + $0.22 per transaction, depending on your setup. It never goes up.

Questions merchants ask us
Straight answers. If yours is not here, call us and a real person will answer it.
Is Interchange-Plus always cheaper than flat rate?
Not always. For very small or occasional sellers, a flat rate can be simple and fair. As volume grows, and especially when many customers pay with debit or standard cards, Interchange-Plus usually costs less because you stop paying a premium-card price on every card. We run the numbers on your statement and tell you which fits.
Why don’t you publish a full rate table?
Because your cost depends on your card mix, average ticket and how you take payments. A table of rates would be either misleading or meaningless. Our margin is as low as 0.05% + $0.22 per transaction, depending on your setup. Send us one statement and we will give you a real quote, line by line.
What does “never increases, in writing” mean?
For Interchange-Plus merchants, the PayZoom margin above interchange does not go up, and we put that in writing. Interchange and card-network fees are set by the card brands and can change for every processor. When they do, you see it on their lines, not hidden inside ours.
What is tiered pricing, and why is it hard to compare?
Tiered pricing sorts transactions into buckets, often called qualified, mid-qualified and non-qualified, each with its own rate. The processor decides which cards fall into which bucket. That makes it hard to compare quotes, because the low qualified rate may cover few of your payments. Our pricing models guide explains it.
How do I get an actual quote?
Send us one recent processing statement through the form on this page or by email. We line-item every fee, separate interchange from what your current processor keeps, and show what Interchange-Plus with PayZoom would look like. It costs nothing. If your current pricing is fair, we will tell you that too.
Send us one statement. We’ll tell you exactly what you’re paying.
No cost and no pressure. If your current rate is fair, we’ll say so. We typically reply the same business day.
